Watercolour and pencil drawings of fungi, all stamped "G. Massee" and some annotated as having been drawn from type specimens in the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew herbarium (including Herb. Berk.). Each is enclosed in a paper folder annotated with a series (?) number (the meaning of which is undetermined), and the name of the species. Most sheets include a location (mostly Victoria and Queensland) and the name of the collector (including Felix Reader, Henry Tisdall, Flora Martin and Frederick M. Bailey). A list of the species in shelved with the paintings.
'Nature's art revealed': 150 years of botanical art at the National Herbarium of Victoria 1853-2003', Domain House, 26 November to 17 December 2003 (Boletus retipes): "Hidden in Plain View" (touring exhibition), 2007-2009 (Laccaria canaliculata, Boletus retipes, Lysurus gardneri).
