| Summary, etc. | Collection comprises 483 original watercolours and 26 printed plates of Australian orchids. Most of the watercolours were published in the complete (1969) edition of Nicholls' paintings. The paintings and prints are in 11 folders, as arranged by Nicholls, each mounted on a backing sheet and most accompanied by mss text written by Nicholls. |

Published plates not present either as original artworks or printed plates are nos. 170, 222 and 429. |
